Dorset charity marks 70 years supporting disabled people and seeks stories from past supporters and beneficiaries.

Now, they want to connect with their past supporters. This includes families, workers, and volunteers, as well as people the charity has helped.
Francesca Potton works for Diverse Abilities and wants people to share their old stories. Seventy years is a big milestone for them, and therefore, they appreciate everyone’s help.
The charity aims to record and share these stories to honor their history. They also want to celebrate the present and the future, hoping for 70 more years of support.
Diverse Abilities will share these memories online and plans a reunion event later this year. A printed special edition is also currently in development.
Phyllis Edwards started Diverse Abilities because her daughter had cerebral palsy. Phyllis wanted to support other parents like herself, knowing they needed help too.
