Yuki, a small dog, was attacked. She is six years old. The attack occurred around 7:10 pm. Giles Lewis, her owner, walked her on Risca Road. The incident happened between Bryngwn and Manley Roads.

Yuki needed urgent vet care. Gwent Police know about the attack. They are currently investigating it fully. The attacking dog remains unidentified. Mr. Lewis described the attack as “savage.”

Mr. Lewis described a traumatic scene with much blood. He worries about future attacks. It could happen to a child, he suggested. The larger dog bit Yuki’s stomach. Mr. Lewis stopped the attack.

He quickly took Yuki home. They called for emergency veterinary help. Vets believe Yuki will survive. She is in intensive care now. Surgery will happen soon at Langford Vets.

Mr. Lewis and Jae Lee have owned Yuki for six years. Mr. Lewis got Yuki in South Korea. She remains very important to them. She supported him while abroad, he stated.

Mr. Lewis spoke about aggressive dogs in the UK. This wasn’t Yuki’s first attack. She was attacked three times in Bristol. They moved to South Wales partly because of this.

Mr. Lewis said this attack hit Yuki the hardest. She was never attacked in South Korea. She has been attacked four times in the UK. He thinks something must change with dangerous dogs.

Police got a report about the attack. It happened on February 6th around 7:15 pm. A large dog attacked a Pomeranian mix. The smaller dog had serious injuries.

A woman walked the large dog. She wore a red/orange coat. She also walked a Boxer-type dog. Police are trying to find her now. People with information should call 101. Use reference number 2500042344.
