A dog sadly died near the A419 after a car crash.

It started around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, February 14. Police tried to stop a black BMW X5 on Great Western Way. The BMW did not stop for the police.

The car sped through Cheney Manor toward the Penhill area at high speed. The BMW then crashed on Duchess Way, hitting a parked car and flipping over.

Police arrested two men at the scene, while paramedics took two women in their twenties and thirties to a hospital for treatment of injuries.

Two dogs were inside the BMW and escaped after the crash. The dogs ran toward the A419 road, where one was hit by a car driven by a member of the public.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without a license or insurance, and theft. They also arrested a 27-year-old man for driving under the influence of drugs without insurance or a license. Both men were released on bail, and the police investigation is still ongoing.
