Piglet’s disappearance got media attention recently. GB News covered it, and national media did too.

Mel Clements is searching for Piglet, who vanished last year on March 28. He was on a canal boat at Copper Mill Lock, on the Grand Union canal.

Mel was visiting a friend. Piglet was on the boat for two hours when a thief broke in and stole an electric scooter.

Piglet heard the glass break and, they think, panicked. He jumped off the boat and ran along the towpath.

Mel returned to the boat, saw the damage, and realized Piglet was gone. She walked the towpath, thinking Piglet went that way.

After 10 to 15 minutes, Mel met a cyclist who called himself “Matt.” He said he saw Piglet running and chased the dog on his bike. The dog ran under some gates near a waterworks, and Matt said he could not reach him.

Mel hired Colin Butcher, a pet detective. Colin thinks “Matt” misled Mel and that he gave her wrong directions.

“Matt” looked to be in his late 20s, slim, and about 5’8″. He had pale skin and fair hair. He wore a rucksack and said he cycles the towpath daily; Mel remembers he might have stuttered.

Two people saw Piglet at 5:30 pm that day while walking their dog on Park Lane. These witnesses have been found. They said Piglet came from Royal Quay’s gates, which are at the bottom of Park Lane.

They followed Piglet and tried to catch him, but Piglet escaped and ran onto the bridge where Park Lane meets Copper Mill Lane.

Mel said Piglet is her beloved boy, her reason for being. Mel needs folks to look for Piglet. Someone must know something about where he is.
