Almost Home Dog Rescue helps abandoned dogs. They find them new homes with loving owners. The rescue also educates new dog owners, helping reduce pet neglect cases.

Hudson is a great dog needing a home. He was a stray and almost faced euthanasia. Someone clearly loved him at some point; he’s clean inside houses and is two years old. Hudson understands basic commands and sleeps well at night. He is a hound mix, and he gets along with other dogs.

Hudson arrived underweight and unwell. He is now getting better at the shelter. He had a bad ear infection, causing discomfort. After treatment, Hudson passed a health check. He will be neutered and vaccinated soon. He enjoys walks and listens well on a leash. Hudson knows “sit” and “paw”, eats gently, and travels well.

Vinnie came from the pound, after new owners bought him. He had no fur and was underweight. He is now healthy and active. Vinnie has too much energy for his current home, and they want to find him a better match. He is fun and great with people. He likes kids and other dogs. Vinnie enjoys car rides. He was well-behaved at the vet, and the vet says he’s fit to be neutered.

Vinnie had skin problems, and medicine should help his skin get better. He is housetrained and good with visitors. Vinnie is improving his recall too.

Penny was left in a park. A dog warden rescued her. She was likely used for breeding. Penny wags her tail constantly at the shelter. She loves learning and sniffing things. Penny is nine years old.

A spokesperson feels sad for Penny. Penny is underweight now. She has lumps, but her blood work is good. Penny is gaining weight at the shelter, and she will be spayed soon by the team. The team thinks she would be lovely with kids. She needs a home with other dogs too. Penny loves food.

Penny needs someone to show her love and an owner for reassurance. They need someone to help her forget her past. A patient person needs to give her confidence. Penny dreams of new adventures. She needs a loving retirement home.
