A concert honors Hilary Jones, featuring Martin Gwilym-Jones and Thomas Coltman, to benefit Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group.

Local news includes missing railway sleepers, which vanished from a community garden. A Dyfi Valley boatyard now has a sauna, and people aided an Aberystwyth boxing academy. Powys council supports Bronglais campaigners.
Hilary’s son, Martin Gwilym-Jones, will perform. He leads the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and teaches at the Royal Welsh College. He also formed a string quartet called MacFeaverJones Quartet, and they will play Schubert and Mendelssohn.
The quartet will also play with Thomas Coltman, a baritone singer. They will perform a Mozart aria and also plan to play Barber’s ‘Dover Beach.’
Thomas has performed at big venues, including Westminster Abbey and Central Hall. Thomas debuted in the US in 2024 and appeared at a music festival.
Instead of a raffle, they’ll collect donations that will go to charity. The Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group will benefit, and box office money also goes to them. Find charity details online.
