Chesil Bank Preschool deals with dog fouling issues. Kids step in it during walks, prompting action with signs and community support.

They created some signs to help. The kids drew pictures, and their signs say “no poo zone.” Sharon Pugh manages the preschool and says it’s a worsening issue.
Chapel Lane should be safe for kids walking to the park, but teachers must constantly warn them. Sadly, some kids even fell, and one got poop on her sleeve. They must check shoes often.
The community shares their concern, and the parish council will get new signs. The handmade signs are now displayed near problem areas.
Dog fouling affects everything, and Blue Cross says it’s harmful because dog poop spreads parasites. The parasites can affect grass, and cattle that eat it lose their young. Humans can even go blind.
People can get a £100 fine for not cleaning up poop; this is from a Public Space Order. If taken to court, owners could pay £1,000. Dorset Council takes reports about this, and you can report the dog fouling online; their website link is available.
