A driver received a jail sentence and driving ban for dangerous driving and fleeing police.

The Warrington Magistrates’ Court sentenced the 20-year-old recently. He admitted guilt to all charges at an earlier hearing. He was sentenced for dangerous driving. He also failed to stop for the police. Driving without a license and insurance were also charges.
The incident happened on December 14 last year. Christopher Howard stated Kelly drove a blue Audi A3 on Liverpool Road (A57). Police noticed Kelly and signaled him to stop. He didn’t stop for them.
He sped away from the police and crashed. Officers found he lacked proper license and insurance. Judge Teate acknowledged Kelly’s guilty pleas. Still, prison was necessary.
His offences were severe with high speeds. An accident occurred. He had no insurance at the time of the incident. He drove recklessly near pedestrians, schools, and shops.
The judge sentenced Kelly to 12 months in prison. He will serve this immediately. Kelly lives on Parkland Close in Appleton Thorn.
He cannot drive for two years. He must pass an extended driving test to drive again. The court endorsed his driving record. He must also pay a £187 surcharge.
