Amaar Shazad gets extra jail time, after hiding heroin and cocaine in his anus during a police search in Bradford, United Kingdom.

Rhianydd Clement told the court about Shazad. Police stopped Shazad in Bradford while driving a VW Golf. Two other men rode in the car with him. He drove fast and erratically.
The police arrested all three men. They found heroin under Shazad’s seat. It was a small bag, worth ten pounds.
At the police station, they strip-searched Shazad. They found a package hidden on his body and he tried to hide it further. The package had cocaine and heroin: 23 bags of cocaine worth £230, and 19 bags of heroin worth £190.
Shazad had two phones, an iPhone and a burner phone. The burner phone had drug dealing contacts and messages. The messages advertised cocaine and heroin sales and offered deals for buying multiple drugs.
Shazad did not provide any comments to the police, giving “no comment” answers in interviews. The court heard that this crime was similar to the one he is in jail for.
John Bottomley said the case took too long to get to court. He asked for a lower sentence because Shazad was already in jail. Bottomley stated Shazad was only 21 when the crime occurred, and prison made Shazad feel like a different person.
Abdul Iqbal KC sentenced Shazad via video link. Iqbal said Shazad had a big role in the drug dealing, calling it a serious crime that fuels more criminal actions. Iqbal stated Shazad drove around to supply drugs.
He sentenced Shazad to two more years in prison. This will be added to his current sentence. The court ordered that the seized cash be forfeited, and the drugs and phones destroyed.
