Duchess Sophie visited RAF Wittering, meeting families and personnel. She also observed flying training activities.

The base serves as RAF Support Force headquarters and also functions as a flying training center. The Duchess wanted to meet people at the station. Nikki Duncan and Karen Chapman escorted her, introducing her to several individuals at the base.
Amelia Duncan presented the Duchess with flowers outside The Golden Lion station bar. The Duchess met station families and their children, especially enjoying seeing the babies and toddlers.
She also signed the station’s visitor book. The Harrier Aircraft was visible in the Heritage Centre. The Duchess met people from the Station’s Community Projects, as well. Photos showed the Duchess with Nikki Duncan.
RAF Wittering provides flying training so Personnel from Number 6 Flying Training School met her. Students from London and Cambridge University Air Squadron also met her. Babcock engineering staff greeted the Duchess too. The Tutor Display Team members were present.
