Over 140000 UK drivers banned. Data reveals Liverpool and Bradford have highest proportion of disqualified drivers.

About one in 374 drivers is disqualified now. Dayinsure experts shared this data, revealing that the number rose 15% since last year. Currently, 140,792 drivers are banned, out of 52.7 million people with licenses.
Drivers get bans for poor or dangerous driving. You get points for speeding or using a phone. Twelve points trigger a driving ban. You also get banned for serious driving offenses.
Dangerous driving can lead to prison. Causing death while driving is also a crime. Drink driving faces a ban, too.
Most banned drivers live up north in 2024. Liverpool has the most, at one in 210 drivers, with 3,154 drivers disqualified there. Bradford matches that proportion, where 2,159 drivers cannot drive.
Leeds, Wakefield, and Halifax also rank high. Teeside is third, with 2,207 drivers banned, equaling one in 213 drivers. Llandudno is fourth, where 1,737 drivers cannot legally drive, which equals one in 244 drivers.
Last year, Welsh cities were on the list. This year, Llandudno ranks highest in Wales.
