Bradford saw queues from 1.40am for the new Popeyes restaurant opening, with free sandwiches for a year on offer.

The restaurant has seating for many people. There are 72 seats inside the building and 12 seats outside. Self-service kiosks make ordering easy, and they also have online order collection points.
Folks lined up early for a big prize: free chicken sandwiches for a whole year! This meant three sandwiches each week for 12 months. People queued from 1:40 AM hoping to win, and more than 100 customers were in the queue.
Patrick was second in line, arriving around 2:25 AM. He’s excited Popeyes is so close to him now and plans to visit often. He looks forward to the breakfast menu launch.
Rehana joined the queue at 2:30 AM. She heard great things about Popeyes and wanted to try it first. Rehana thought the wait was worth it.
This is their sixth Yorkshire location and their 69th nationwide location. A band, The Brass Funkeys, played; they have a New Orleans style sound. There was also a photo booth for customers.
The first 100 got a free sandwich, as well as Popeyes merchandise.
Tom Crowley is the Popeyes UK CEO. He said the Bradford launch was great, with queues forming before they even opened. They will open a Leeds store later this year.
The Popeyes menu has many items. They sell chicken sandwiches and hot wings, and you can buy tenders and chicken wraps. Wraps have classic, spicy, or BBQ flavor.
Their chicken gets marinated for 12 hours using Louisiana herbs and spices. Extras like biscuits and Cajun gravy are also available. All Popeyes chicken is halal certified.
Popeyes serves breakfast from 8 AM to 11 AM. They have British breakfast with a Cajun twist. The menu includes a Cajun roll and hash browns, and you can also expect Nutella biscuits.
