SpringFest offers author talks, workshops and a Local Author Marketplace. The event promotes local talent and skills.

SpringFest highlights local talent from the region. Authors can join the Local Author Marketplace, and the library invites unseen writers to promote work and network. Author talks and workshops are also planned, making this a first for SpringFest!
Adam Farrier starts the talks with “Broken Biscuits” at Beverley Library at 5 PM on March 15. He will discuss his book, and tickets cost £5.
Anna Caig presents marketing for writers online on March 17, starting at 12:30 PM. This 90-minute Zoom webinar welcomes writers of all levels and costs £5. Attendees will get a link before the event.
“Devilled Eggs,” a play by Black Liver, is touring between March 17 and 19 at various locations. Roman and Prudence will host it at Dakota Guest House, and it is suitable for ages 12+. Tickets are £7.
Linda Green visits South Cave Library on March 20 at 7 PM to talk about “The Woman With All The Answers.” This book features on BBC Radio 2 and Richard & Judy, and tickets are £5.
Val Wood travels the East Riding libraries on March 21, between 9:45 AM and 3:45 PM. Find her in Skipsea, Atwick, and other towns where you can chat with the author and maybe get her book signed. This event is free.
Wes Markin talks with Chris Speck at Driffield Library on March 21, discussing Yorkshire Murders at 7 PM. Tickets cost £5.
Saturday ends the festival with events at North Bridlington Library. A Writing for Wellbeing Workshop starts at 10 AM, followed by a craft workshop at 11:30 AM. Each of these events costs £5.
Julia Chapman gives the final talk at North Bridlington Library on March 22, starting at 2 PM. She discusses her “Dales Detective” series, and tickets cost £5.

On March 15, local authors will host “Bookish Banter” at Beverley Registry Office at 10:30 AM. This is a free event that requires pre-booking. The Local Author Marketplace also occurs on March 15 at Champney Treasure House at noon. This event is free and drop-in.
