A 29 year old man has been charged related to the Blackwood and Newbridge brawl, now a total of 8 face charges.
Pirot went to court on Tuesday, February 18. He was hurt in the fight on Thursday, February 13. First, they took him to the hospital.
Seven other men were also charged with violent disorder. They are between 24 and 30 years old. The court put them in jail after their court visit.
A police officer said these fights worry people. The quick reports helped them act fast. These arrests show they won’t allow it. They want to keep everyone safe, and such events are rare.
The court heard the fight was about a “turf war” between rival barbers. They argued about a new shop planned for Newbridge. About sixteen people fought, and several got hurt. One person had a stab wound.
The seven men facing violent disorder charges have been named: Bave Hamed, Shahab Husseini, and Sardam Ebrahimi. Bryar Muradi, Alan Karimi, Adnan Mohamad, and Krmanj Sadiq are also among them.
The court denied bail to all the accused, who all said they will deny guilt. They must stay in jail until they’re due back in crown court March 17.
