A couple in their 70s are in critical condition after being hit by a car in Harpenden.

The police and ambulances showed up fast. Now, road police want witnesses or dashcam videos to help figuring out what occurred.
The injured people are a man and a woman. Both are in their seventies. They are in the hospital with serious injuries now and their condition is still critical.
The police closed St Albans Road and Bull Road earlier, but they have opened those roads back up again.
Sergeant Luke Jenkins wants to hear from people who drove on St Albans Road last night. Did you witness anything, or see the black car? Please contact him.
Dashcam footage is very helpful to the police too. It could really help them with the case and the sergeant thanks drivers for their patience.
