Junners Toy Shop, vacant since 2016, is being demolished as part of the Moray Growth Deal’s redevelopment project.

Robertson’s workers are there now and have blocked off the area; the sidewalk is closed, too. Junners closed way back in 2016, after having been open for 116 years.
Kids loved that store for many years. The building got pretty run-down after it closed. Now, they want to rebuild that section of town! It’s part of the Moray Growth Deal.
This demolition is the first step, with plans to to clear the area around a few buildings. This includes buildings on South Street and High Street. Also, they are tearing down Jailhouse Nightclub and Newmarket Bar.
The project involves Moray Council and Robertson Property Ltd. Furthermore, the Moray Growth Deal and UHI Moray are contributing as well. They will build thirty-eight new flats.
These will be one and two-bedroom flats. They also want a business hub, along with plans for three retail spaces. They will improve the area between South Street and High Street.
