Baked potato shop STR8 JACKETS thrives in Knaresborough, thanks to unique offerings and owner Emma Wilson’s inspiring vision.

They sell baked potatoes with lots of stuff on top. Coleslaw, cheese, and chilli are some options. Tuna mayo, beans, and coronation chicken exist too. Warm pulled pork with honey is the most popular. Honey chilli chicken isn’t far behind.
Emma Wilson owns the business. She had the idea seven years ago while in Ibiza. She used to be a barber before this.
Emma got breast cancer. She decided to change her life. She wanted her work to matter. So, she started planning STR8 JACKETS. Other illnesses and Covid delayed the opening.
Emma found a great shop in Knaresborough. She always liked this special town. The little shop became available, so they took it. Her business partner helped a lot.
The shop was a hairdresser for forty years. It needed fixing up to be a restaurant. They waited nine months. Then, they completely redid the shop. It became STR8 JACKETS after that.
Emma thinks her business is doing well for a reason. They offer food that’s special and different. It’s a healthy option that works for people. It is traditional food, in a beautiful market town.
They buy potatoes locally. These potatoes are grown without pesticides. They offer many fillings, both hot and cold. They also plan to add Mediterranean salad.
The shop has a five-star rating for food hygiene. They are open every day from 11 to 4:30. They close on Sundays normally. They open if there’s a town event.
