Capel Manor College works at Forty Hall Farm. They are doing an expansion project there, and it will make the farm even better.

The college manages a woodland site with Enfield Council. Students and others planted trees, with about 800 saplings going into the ground. This happened at the beaver enclosure in Enfield.

The trees will give the beavers more food and also improve their habitat. Species planted include willow, birch, hazel, and aspen trees.

Beavers were reintroduced to Enfield back in 2022, marking London’s first beaver reintroduction. The college helps care for the beavers, watching and supporting the animals, which help with flood control.

The enclosure is getting bigger, giving the seven resident beavers more room to roam. Volunteers helped plant saplings, covering a 1,500 square meter area. The trees help wildlife.

The college’s announcement of the expansion last year shows their commitment to conservation and education. Enfield Council and City Hall are helping by providing money for the project. They will also add viewing spots.
