A teen was arrested for assaulting an emergency worker after a report of a group with weapons caused concern.

The report claimed the group had weapons and that they were also causing trouble in public. Police sent a helicopter and armed officers to the scene, and officers did some very complete searches.
Police looked hard but found zero weapons. They did ground searches during their hunt, and officers talked to businesses in the area. CCTV was used to gather more facts.
A dispersal order is now active there, though the police haven’t said how long this lasts. A 17-year-old boy got arrested. He’s charged with assaulting an emergency worker, and he also didn’t give his info when asked, which violates Section 50 of the dispersal order.
Inspector Tommy Pearson, the Borough Commander, commented on the incident. Tommy said they take threats of violence very seriously and that reports of weapons were concerning. He wants to reassure the public about safety, even though no weapons were actually found.
Dispersal orders help the police a lot in keeping the community feeling safe. The police want your help with this case, so if you have any info or video, please share it.
