Hey, guess what happened in Essex! A big police operation went down. It ran from February 10th to the 17th. Nine hundred thirty-one officers took part. They targeted serious criminals across the county.

The officers worked hard, around 4,100 hours. During that time, they grabbed 56 weapons and also did 85 stop and searches. Police gathered over 200 new intelligence reports, which will help ongoing investigations.

They went to 82 meetings, talking about community issues. They arrested folks for really bad stuff, like grievous bodily harm and sexual assault. Also, child sex crimes and drug supply were included.

Vehicle theft and strangulation were included, and controlling behavior was another reason for arrest. The police got help from other units, including the Rural Engagement Team and the Dog Unit. Even the National Police Air Service helicopter helped.

They arrested five people for hare coursing, who were between 19 and 68. They were released while investigations are ongoing. Road safety was also a major focus.

They did almost 700 speed checks. Officers stopped 1,049 vehicles in total; This led to 551 traffic offenses reported. They seized 165 cars with no insurance. All these traffic offenses are actually serious.
