Discover Mold’s rich history with free walking tours. Learn about local pubs, churches, and key historical areas.

Tours happen in conjunction with the Sunday market. The market is located on Daniel Owen Square and also inside the Daniel Owen Centre. The dates for the tours are: March 23, April 27, May 25, June 29, and July 27. There are more dates scheduled for August 31, September 28, and October 26, all in 2025.
Six different tours exist, and the subjects change monthly. April’s tour times are coming soon, so book now for this month. The tours are free, but space is limited, so book ahead. Each tour lasts approximately 60-90 minutes.
The March 23 tours include: Wrexham Street/New Street at 10am, focusing on its history as a working-class area in the 1920s and a Queen Victoria connection. The general history of Mold tour is at 11:30am, covering from the Norman invasion to World War II.
Another tour, “Pubs & Breweries of Mold,” is at 1pm; you can learn about Mold’s 70+ pubs and hear stories of preachers and the war. Also, “Church & Chapels of Mold” is at 2:30pm, where you’ll see St Mary the Virgin church and hear about John Wesley’s visit.
To book a tour, email TotallyMold@moldtowncouncil.org.uk or call 01352 758532, option 3. Please tell them your tour choice, your name, and the number of people in your party so they can confirm your booking.
