Jordan Thomas’s family shared their sorrow after his death. His mom, Savina, called him caring and happy. He loved being an uncle and helped those in need.

Jordan was badly hurt on Harbour Road last February. He passed away at Aintree Hospital eight days later. His sister, Jade, read Savina’s statement in court.

Savina said Jordan planned to meet family on February 25. He had ironed his clothes for the occasion. Sadly, police officers arrived instead of Jordan. He packed for Dubai.

He was starting a new business four days later. He planned a big 30th birthday party on a yacht. Jordan worked hard since he was 13. He had many successful businesses.

His last one was a window cleaning company. He recently expanded it. Jordan raised money for charity too. He cleaned bikes at the TT to help a baby loss charity. He also supported the Stroke Foundation.

Savina said Jordan helped and protected his friends. He understood their struggles and always made time for people. He stood up for them. Jordan had PTSD.

Still, he saved a police officer from an attacker. His mom remembers this brave act. Savina said Jordan had a brilliant mind and lots of energy. He didn’t like labels from mental health experts. He only took medicine when needed.

Jordan wanted a family. He adored kids and they loved him. He was a fun uncle. He planned to have kids after turning 30 and being stable.

The family struggled with the investigation. They feared Jordan became a case file number and worried about the post-mortem examination. Savina recalled Jordan’s body returning home.

They cried happy tears. She celebrated his birthday with his coffin. She was glad he was whole. She stated that their grief is as big as Jordan’s heart. It touched so many people and continues to resonate now.

The family believes no prison sentence can match their loss. Savina said the defendant’s sentence is small compared to theirs. She said they are serving a life sentence.

They will never see Jordan again. His dreams and future family are gone. His smile is gone. They are haunted by his senseless death, which happened right outside their home.

The judge acknowledged Paul should have known his driving was dangerous. Reaching 30 mph and braking hard was unsafe. He stated no punishment can equal Jordan’s life. The court’s sympathy cannot ease their pain. Paul got six years in jail.

He cannot drive for eight years and must retake his driving test afterward.
