The Hulbert family in Bicester planted 1,500 trees using a Forestry Commission grant to create a new forest.

They have English oak and silver birch. Red oak, Scots pine, giant redwoods, and Douglas fir also grow there.
They made the forest using a grant from the Forestry Commission. The grant helps create new forests and applies to land over one hectare. The Forestry Commission wants more UK woodlands to boost biodiversity.
Andrew Hulbert said they are very proud the forest will be there for future family. It also helps Oxfordshire’s green spaces.
He stated the Forestry Commission inspired them, and they appreciate the support they received. Their kids helped the area’s sustainability, which will create future opportunities.
Andrew is working on more charity projects, including ecology projects to help local wildlife. He drove 2,000 km to Bicester’s twin towns in Europe across Poland, Germany, and France. He raised funds for Nai’s House during the drive, which helps young people with mental health in Bicester.
