Hey, guess what’s for sale? Hardens Farm in Chippenham. It’s near Abbeyfield School, off London Road. The asking price is £750,000. Symonds & Sampson are handling the sale.

The farm was once slated for redevelopment as part of a larger land area. Back in 2016, they wanted a local center there, and Hardens Farm was supposed to be the focus spot.

The plan included 1,500 homes and a retirement village was also proposed at New Leaze Farm. They wanted a road linking it to the A4, but this eastern development never got approved.

The application is still technically open, though plans for an eastern road got scrapped. The council pulled out of a southern road deal too, as costs just got too high to manage.

Symonds & Sampson believes the farm could still be developed. The listing mentions rural potential and it has a Grade II listed farmhouse on 1.55 acres. There are farm buildings with development potential and the transport links are excellent too.
