Farmers protest tax plans that threaten family farms. Tractors drove through Buckinghamshire en route to London.

Labour plans a 20% inheritance tax on big farms. Farms worth over £1 million would pay. This upsets many farmers a lot. Protests happened near Parliament last year.
Hundreds of farmers drove tractors through Buckinghamshire. They continued protesting in London, the capital. Lacey’s Family Farm joined the protest.
Lacey’s Farm said they were going to Whitehall. They aimed to show how taxes hurt farmers. They hoped their MP would help them.
They said people could watch the tractors go by. Tractors went through Lane End around 9:40 am. They asked people to wave or honk their horns. Tax changes start in April 2026.
The changes end the tax exemption for family farms. Now, farms will possibly pay tax to pass to next generation.
Nigel Farage planned to speak to the farmers. He would meet them on Monday morning. They were stopping on their way to London.
The government says their commitment to farmers is “steadfast”. They also mentioned the need to fix public finances fairly. The Free Press asked Emma Reynolds for her comment.
