Farmers will march to York Minster on February 15, protesting potential inheritance tax changes harming family farms.

The march starts around 12:30 PM. People should wear bright clothes to show concern about inheritance tax plans. Everyone can join the march, and kids should bring their toy tractors.
York Labour MPs are invited to this event. Local councillors might also attend, and guest speakers will probably talk there too.
The march follows a prior meeting that happened at Thirsk Auction Mart on January 10. About 200 people discussed farming’s future there.
Phil and Clare Wise organized this meeting. They farm near Thirsk and held a rally in Thirsk last November.
The rally highlighted some key issues, including inheritance tax and wage changes. It also noted National Insurance increases.
Changes will tax big farm businesses with a 20% rate applying over £1 million. This caused protests across the country, as people fear for family farms.
One farmer spoke at the meeting and was told about a big tax bill. His farm could owe £1.26 million if his father dies soon.
