Coastguards rescued eight people at Findhorn Bay after they were cut off by the tide. All were brought safely ashore.

The witness said they were too far to hear shouting and that they didn’t think about the tides. A crowd watched from the beach. His friend called the lifeguard for help quickly.
Burghead and Nairn Coastguards went to the scene. A lifeboat from MIRO also joined the effort. Aberdeen Coastguard said they got the call at 10:15 AM. Eight people were stuck because of the tide.
Luckily, the family got to shore safely. MIRO launched to assist them, just in case. Burghead Coastguard was already helping them ashore; therefore, MIRO stood down and went back to base.
The witness said some didn’t grasp the risk. One adult claimed they were sailors and okay, but they waded through the water with kids. One man argued and didn’t thank the rescuers.
Rescue teams urge walkers to check tide times. They especially mentioned the danger of quickly incoming tides. HM Coastguard’s website has more information.
