County Durham & Darlington Fire Rescue seeking feedback on its draft 2025 risk management plan. The plan is to safeguard communities.

The plan covers different risks. It tells how they will fight those risks. This year, the plan has five key investment areas.
First, they want to reach vulnerable people. They’ll protect them from fires and emergencies. Next, they want to reduce deliberate fires. Partnerships will help.
Also, they plan to invest in staff. They’ll recruit and develop new people. The plan wants better on-call responses. They also want a sustainable service.
That means better buildings and equipment. It also means greener vehicles. That will reduce their carbon footprint.
The public can give feedback now. This consultation lasts twelve weeks. It closes May 14 at midnight.
The fire chief wants your views. He said it’s important to them. Your feedback will shape their services. It’s for the next three years.
A council member wants views too. He said it helps them oversee the service. He asks you to fill out the survey. It helps them plan ahead.
You can read the plan online. Find it on their website. You can also complete their consultation there.
Firefighters will talk to you in person, too. You can find paper copies to fill out. Scan a QR code, also.
