Flamingo Land faces accusations of twisting facts in its appeal for a rejected park project. Ross Greer leads the criticism.

About 155,000 people objected to the park. They used a campaign led by Ross Greer. He spoke out against it online. The park would impact traffic; locals need green spaces. Important groups also objected.
Woodland Trust felt concerned. Ramblers Scotland shared the worry. The National Trust didn’t like the plan, and Sepa also disapproved. Lomond Banks wants the government to review it.
They hope to build the park still. Greer called this appeal “desperate.” He says the appeal lies; it distorts facts, too. Greer says Flamingo Land distorts the truth.
They bend the truth, he claims. He says they misrepresent things. The resort plan got rejected before. The board voted against it. Greer says his campaign had 155,000 objections.
Park officers opposed the build. Sepa also said no to the plan. The community council disagreed. Flamingo Land disrespects Loch Lomond. They’ve tried to get their way for years.
Greer wants the government to say no. The park plans are a major problem. He thinks the story should end. Flamingo Land has a resort in England.
It is near Malton, North Yorkshire. It has holiday deals, a zoo, plus rides. The Loch Lomond park would be similar. The Loch Lomond park would include hotels.
There’d be a waterpark as well. Over 100 lodges would sit in woods. It needs 370 parking spaces. Shops and restaurants are key. The project could mean more traffic.
About 250 extra cars per hour may come. The Greens say Flamingo Land blames the Park. They say the Park should have asked for less. The Greens claim this is Flamingo Land’s job.
They should reduce the size of it. They have been fighting for ten years. The Greens accuse them of misusing policies. These policies don’t fit this project.
It’s a tourist place, not homes. Flooding concerns are a problem, too. The Greens say they dodge this issue.
