Road and car park shut due to landslip risks, stabilising works underway for three weeks, reopening planned February 21st.

The car park will also close because stabilizing work is occurring. This work will take about three weeks. Network Rail says it is too dangerous, with falling rocks being a concern.
They are building a wall to hold back the cutting, which is a path for trains through rock. They are using big machines, and this requires space.
They are drilling boreholes, and drill rigs track ground movements. The system sends alerts about movement, monitoring both small and large shifts.
The council confirms the road closure lasts until Friday, February 21st. The road is closed from 7 AM to 6 PM. People can use the nearby footpath.
The road closed for three days last August while Network Rail investigated to find a permanent fix. Cracks appeared on the promenade in April.
These cracks impacted train services and closed the area. The road also split open. Landslips affected paths and beaches. In 2022, rain sent debris onto the path.
The Warren was not alone in Folkestone, as landslips occurred elsewhere. Eight ground movements happened last year. Road of Remembrance may stay shut until 2026 due to planned work.
