A Paramount City spot is buzzing after transforming from a nightclub into a coffee bar and barber shop.

They bought the building back in August 2020 and worked hard to revamp the space. It’s a busy spot now for many people.
The ground floor used to be a dance floor, but now there’s a large coffee bar with many seats for customers. A DJ booth is a reminder of its past.
Lydia’s barber shop is at the back, featuring Isle of Man TT items that add a personal touch. Milky won a solo TT race and was the last Manxman to do so.
Their son Illiam helps with the business. He said the family appreciates the support, especially now that many face financial challenges.
Illiam said it has been crazy busy. The family put in four years of work, and seeing it busy makes them so happy. They thank everyone for their support.
Illiam was nervous before opening day and wondered what if no one came. Times are tough, he realized, so the fact people spend money there makes them grateful.
People visit and provide good reviews. They eat, they drink, and they smile. That’s all that matters to them.
Illiam helps wherever he’s needed at Paramount City. It’s a hands-on family business, and he washes dishes or works the till.
This project was Milky and Lydia’s dream. Milky now focuses fully on the business to ensure it continues to grow.
