Scarlet Gray, a student, crashed her Mercedes in Boston. Drunk after drinking vodka, she received a driving ban and a fine.

Scarlet Gray, a student, drank at a Wetherspoons pub. She had two vodka lemonades. This bad choice cost her; she lost her license and received a £250 fine.
Gray admitted guilt in court. The hearing was on Monday, February 3rd before Boston magistrates.
Police responded to a car crash that occurred around 12:14 pm on December 12th on Boston’s John Adams Way. One car was involved in the accident.
The car’s axles may have snapped when it hit the median. Police saw Gray and she seemed unsteady on her feet.
Gray failed a roadside breath test. She then took another test at the station, which showed 77mcg of alcohol; the legal limit is 35mcg.
Gray admitted drinking at Wetherspoons and said she had two vodka lemonades. After drinking, she drove her car, turned poorly, and hit a curb while traveling about 25-30 mph. A friend was a passenger.
Gray said driving seemed okay because she had eaten a meal while drinking. She didn’t consider her size and thought food would absorb the alcohol; she apologized to the court and was thankful that she didn’t hurt anyone.
The court banned Gray from driving for 19 months. Successfully completing a course can shorten the ban by 19 weeks. They fined her £120, and she must pay £85 in costs, as well as a £48 surcharge.
