Frango De Lisboa opens in Watford Market, offering Portuguese cuisine. Expect chicken, sides, and unique flavors!

The new restaurant complements the existing cafe and is located near the town’s pond. Frango means chicken in Portuguese. The menu features chicken, wings, and wraps, with ribs, sausages, and pork belly also available. Deals include kids, student, and family menus.
Frango De Lisboa serves Portuguese meals, while the café still offers coffee and treats. Aamir’s friend, Samuel Do Carmo, manages the restaurant, using his restaurant experience in London. He visits Portugal often, wanting to bring traditional flavors there.
The staff uses an old recipe to create authentic Lisbon food. Aamir is 36 years old. Their sides and platters use traditional flavors, and they offer plant-based and gluten-free options too.
Café De Lisboa opened in September 2023 in the former Piranha Comics unit. They sell baked goods, cakes, and desserts. Sandwiches are also on the menu, and they offer bifanas and pastel de nata.
Aamir stated business is “going well” last month. Regular customers come in daily, creating a community environment.
Jardin will launch ‘Jardin Express’ later this month. Owners Aly Ladha and Rahim Remtula hope to attract new customers by offering broad appeal, and they will give a taste of what to expect.
