Will Parry, 32, from Tregaron in Ceredigion, is facing unimaginable circumstances. Fundraisers are planning a significant challenge to support this local dad who has limited time left to live. Will worked security at Morrisons in Aberystwyth. He collapsed last August after suffering from headaches.

His GP suspected a brain bleed, prompting an immediate transfer to Bronglais A&E for scans. Sadly, the scans revealed a serious brain tumor – a large, aggressive glioblastoma.

Will was urgently transferred to Cardiff Hospital for emergency brain surgery. The operation, lasting seven hours, carried significant risks. Fortunately, Will woke up soon after, demonstrating responsiveness and even the ability to walk.

Weeks later, on September 17th, the family received devastating news. Despite doctors removing almost all of the tumor, Will’s life expectancy was estimated at only 12 to 18 months.

Will, his wife Lianne, and their children – Tyler, 12, Thia, 10, and Harli, just 3 – are now focusing on creating lasting memories. They are determined to fulfill Will’s dreams in the time they have.

Love From Wales, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating lasting memories for families, is supporting the Parry family. A team of 35 volunteers will undertake the “15 Peaks for Parry” challenge.

The challenge involves climbing 15 Snowdonia peaks within 48 hours, scheduled for early April. Experienced mountain leaders will guide the team, and medical support will be provided.

Sean Turner from Love From Wales highlighted the difficulty of the route. It features rocky paths, steep inclines, and the notorious Crib Goch, a ridge on Yr Wyddfa.

Turner explained that the hike, typically a week-long endeavor, will be completed in just two days. The team will camp at local sites, aiming to raise money to help create lasting memories for Will’s family.

The organizers urge people to donate if they can, emphasizing Love From Wales’ commitment to supporting Will and his family. Their focus is on providing all possible assistance during this difficult time.

The charity is prepared for this daunting challenge. With the support of the community, they are confident they will raise significant funds. Having already raised over £6,000, they hope to surpass this amount to further support Will and his loved ones.
