Volunteer groups donate thousands to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice through various fundraising events, ensuring essential care.

The Silsden and Steeton Group donated £20,315. Diane Sugden heads the group; many members are retired nurses. They know how vital hospice care is, and others experienced the care firsthand. They really care about helping.
The Cross Hills, Glusburn and Sutton Group gave £16,430. Clare Wurzel speaks for the group. They enjoy raising money for the hospice because a life-limiting illness can hit anyone. Manorlands helps the community greatly, and they give their time to help raise funds.
Andrew Wood manages fundraising at Manorlands. He praised these giving groups, as good people doing fun things really helps a lot. Most areas have groups seeking members now. Some places need groups, like Oxenhope.
The Eldwick and Gilstead Group reached £50,000 total. They formed ten years ago and have held many events. One special event honored Carol Marshall, a founding member. Last year was their best one yet.
Nicola Burdett works at Manorlands and is a member. She hopes 2025 will be even better. The group is thankful for all the support, and she thanks all the people helping them. She sees the care at the hospice daily, and fundraising is very essential. Without fundraising, the hospice could not help patients.
