Efforts begin to fund a new BMX track in Ellesmere with council backing and community crowdfunding.

Shropshire Council promised some money. The town council needs more funds, and they are starting a crowdfunding page soon.
The council needs community help to make the children’s dream track a reality. If they hit their target, Shropshire Council adds £15,000.
The council can’t pay for it all alone due to limited funds. More donations mean more town money is available for other things, like the cemetery and streetlights.
Councilors visited two schools with Joe Baddeley, who builds and rides BMX tracks himself. He helped kids pick their favorite designs, and they listened to their ideas.
The council said the track is great for the town. It promotes outdoor fun, allows kids to get exercise, and improves balance. It also builds community spirit as they ride together and learn from each other.
