Nathan Parry volunteers for Flint RNLI, saving lives at sea for fifteen years. Now, Nathan and his family need our help because his son, Theo, has Sturge Weber Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.

Theo’s symptoms include a facial birthmark, glaucoma, epilepsy, and developmental delays. Last April, Theo had surgery, but unexpected issues caused a brain injury.

After weeks of worry, Theo is now at home, fighting hard but needing special items, therapies, expert care, and home changes. The living room holds a hospital bed, oxygen, and a monitor. Yet, Theo needs his own space, including a bedroom, hoists, and necessary equipment.

Currently, he bathes in an inflatable tub from Amazon, which sits on the living room floor. The family faces an uncertain future as creating a suitable space for Theo in their home will cost around £150,000. Health and government support only cover half of this amount.

Theo’s Fight Fund helps the family, aiming to give them a normal life. Their house requires changes to accommodate Theo and his gear. These changes include a wet room to allow him to bathe easily.

The JustGiving page has already raised £10,000, with a goal of £20,000.
