A delegation from Futaba-machi visited Beverley to explore exchange programs and strengthen their relationship.

They met some important people there. Councillor Aitken handles kids and education. Tom Chamberlain directs things for young people. Emma Hobbs leads school improvement. They all talked together.
The reason for the visit was simple. They want exchange trips between towns. They hope to make the bond stronger. Futaba-machi and Beverley might partner up.
Ms. Aitken said she enjoyed meeting them a lot. She thinks good things will happen and believes their connection is a great chance. They can create positive change together, she added.
She mentioned the tough time they had; the 2011 tsunami hit their community hard. She also noted that it is important to know different cultures. Language, she said, helps people understand each other.
Finally, the delegation met council leader Handley. They talked more about the town connection. They discussed linking Futaba-machi with Beverley further.
