Giddos Gift, a charity remembering Jordan Giddins, is nominated for Pride of Britain funding to support young cancer patients.

The fund will donate £100,000. Forty deserving charities will each get £2,500 to help them do more good work.
Giddo’s Gift is one such charity. It remembers Jordan Giddins, called Giddo, who died from Ewings Sarcoma in 2017 when he was only 18 years old. His mother, Mandy, and sister, Beth, started the charity to continue his work of helping other young people fighting cancer.
The charity gives money and gifts to those aged 13 to 24 receiving cancer treatment. It aims to bring comfort during hard times and to help them feel normal.
Giddo’s Gift also creates awareness by telling people about childhood cancers, helping families cope with the diagnosis, and assisting with emotional and financial burdens.
Mandy said this giveaway is a great idea, stating the £2,500 makes a huge difference for them, particularly as they had more grant requests last year than ever before since 2018. More young patients struggle with money, and families need help paying bills or getting to the hospital.
Sadly, some cannot afford food or clothes. Giddo’s Gift aided over 350 young patients and their families. The charity needs support to reach more families, and nominating them helps their work and keeps Jordan’s memory alive.
