Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides were there. Leaders joined the fun too. Everyone celebrated this afternoon. It was February 23rd, by the way.
Robbie Moore and Councillor Hussain attended. Jeanette Young came, representing the Scouts. Girlguiding leaders were also there, coming from the county and division.
The Trefoil Guild joined them. Dementia Friendly Keighley was represented too. The church and charity received donations and they collected money at the event.
Rev. Dr. Tracey Raistrick welcomed everyone. She said she loves the service and noted the members’ dedication.
They handed out awards to people. Some received awards for long service. Janet Armstrong received special recognition for serving Girlguiding for 60 years!
The Sarah Robinson Award went to Michelle Woollett. They give it yearly, and it honors outstanding work in Keighley Girlguiding.
Young members gave a presentation called “Our Adventures”. They spoke about their Girlguiding highlights and all the members renewed their promises.
