Ruth Ransome, rescued twice by Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance after horse accidents, organizes a 5km charity walk in gratitude.

This walk benefits the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance. The 5km stroll boosts awareness and funds. The air ambulance airlifted Ruth twice following serious horse accidents.
Ruth’s first accident occurred in June 2009. Her horse threw her off, then crushed her, causing multiple pelvic fractures. The air ambulance quickly flew her to a hospital.
In October 2011, she had another accident where she broke her leg badly. Again, the air ambulance team helped her. Ruth has now had extensive treatments.
She says she feels grateful to the air ambulance and has many metal implants now, including a femoral rod and pelvic plate. Bolts and screws also support her pelvis.
The walk lets people connect and have fun. Patients, supporters, and crew attend. The money raised keeps the air ambulance going, enabling their life-saving work every day.
The Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance helps many, covering a big service area. They average about four missions daily and the charity depends on donations, needing £13 million each year.
