The Griffin Inn in Rossett has reopened under Tom and Roseanne Sutherland. Plans include glamping, games and the Goodies Cup revival.

Tom and Roseanne plan some changes, including adding two new glamping tents. Games and a play area are also planned. The pub will revive an old event: the Boxing Day ‘Goodies Cup’. A tug of war is planned for Easter weekend between The Griffin Inn and the Golden Lion, both located in Rossett. Everyone is welcome to come and watch.
Tom and Roseanne owned other places before. They are happy to be in Wrexham now, and Tom said feedback has been very positive. People have returned after the pub reopened.
Customers say it feels like it did years ago and think the pub needs caring owners. Tom and Roseanne plan to care for it. The pub kitchen is open again too, after having closed six months before the pub itself did.
They brought back the best pub food, with people driving far for their burgers. The pub kept its cozy feel over the years. It has snug spaces, log burners, and a central bar.
Kelly Kerr, who works for Admiral Taverns, commented on the Griffin Inn’s reopening. She congratulated Tom and Roseanne, saying that they already made a big impact.
The pub is a great place for the community, and Tom and Roseanne will make it better. They plan for it to be a community hub. Kelly wishes them good luck, and people are welcome to visit for a drink.
