The Griffins Head in Huncoat is open again under the new management of Michelle and Darren Boult after closing suddenly in January.

Michelle said owning a pub was always her dream. She’s fifty years old, and she and Darren met working at a bar twenty years ago. With their kids grown, they took the chance. Michelle has worked in food service for years.
Since January, they fixed up the pub, painting walls and updating the furniture. Michelle said they redecorated everything, working hard to make it cozy and inviting.
They spent time fixing the tables and chairs, as the furniture looked dated. Now it looks modern and fits the pub style. Michelle said people are happy it’s open again.
She also says they feel excited and nervous. The pub serves drinks, plus they now serve food. Michelle changed the menu to include pub favorites like burgers, fries, pies, and lamb shanks.
Michelle and Darren are eager to welcome locals and want to be part of the community. They put their hearts into making the pub feel like home for everyone, where people can eat, drink, or just enjoy the atmosphere.
