Road closures in Gwynedd, alcohol license requests, and Snowdonia park changes make headlines this week.

The Potted Lobster wants a license, too. They own Mickey’s Beach Café in Abersoch. They want to sell alcohol daily, both on and off site. Their proposed hours are 10 AM to 5:30 PM. Object by February 26, if you need to.
Snowdonia National Park has a new rule. Article 4 Direction starts June 1. It will likely affect development rules there.
Oakley Square in Blaenau Ffestiniog closes to cars. Gwynedd Council issued this order because Scottish Power needs to dig there. The closure starts February 14 and lasts a month. Alternatively, it ends when they finish; they expect seven days of work.
Aberdovey’s Church Street is also closing due to a decision by Gwynedd Council. Wales & West Utilities will replace a gas pipe. The closure began February 10. It will last a month or until finished, which they estimate will take 22 days.
The A493 between Friog and Llwyngwril is affected, as Gwynedd Council made an order. Safety barriers are being renewed along that stretch. This started February 1st and lasts six months. The work should take about 151 days.
