Hampshire Hospitals Staff Delight Audiences with Charity Pantomime

Guess what? Hospital staff put on a show! It was Cinderella with a fun twist. They called it “Dr Charming & The Ugly Blisters.” Doctors, nurses, and others were in it.

The show happened in Basingstoke on January 11. They played at The Haymarket. Both shows sold out quick, with evening tickets vanishing within hours.

This show has been going on for 25 years. You know, hospital people rehearse during their free time. They even buy their own costumes! It’s pretty cool.

All the money raised helps the hospitals’ charity, called Hampshire Hospitals Charity. They help patients and staff. Hospitals in Basingstoke, Winchester, and other places benefit. Alton and Andover are also included.

Some funds go to The Magic Lion Appeal, the charity’s main campaign right now. The Mayor of Basingstoke watched the show too. He supports their hard work.

They also collected donations at the show before, during, and after. The pantomime group said they worked very hard. The group thinks the show keeps getting better!

The show is an annual tradition now. The staff will keep doing it each year. They want to raise more money for the hospitals.
