Volunteers in Hampshire receive King Charles III Coronation Medals for their service and dedication.

The King Charles III Coronation Medal marks a special event, celebrating King Charles’ coronation on May 6, 2023. His wife, Queen Camilla, was also crowned.
Over 400,000 medals went out across the UK, honoring people who helped with the coronation. Top UK award winners also got medals. Some military, emergency workers, and prison staff received them too. Those staff needed five years of service.
Captain Chris Hargrave, from Normandy Company, was a recipient. He felt the medal was a truly special moment and is thankful for the honor. His Army Cadet Force journey led him there.
Colonel Tim Hope is Commandant. He is proud the volunteers are getting recognized. The volunteers give many hours each year to help cadets get good instruction and support them during their journey.
Presenting the medal shows gratitude and recognizes the officers and instructors. The Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire helped present the medals during a parade.
The Army Cadets are a youth group sponsored by the Ministry of Defence.
