New unique play tower from Germany coming to Hardwick Park. Improves playground with zip line, swings and is set to reopen in Spring.

The tower stands about 14.5 meters tall and is designed to match the park’s old tower, which James Paine designed. The structure includes rope, nets, slides, and sensory play items.
Kids can climb up to a viewing platform. From there, they can see the whole park. Hardwick Park is a busy place, with about 450,000 people visiting each year.
The council wants families to enjoy the park, so they will improve the playground. The updates include a zip line, swings, and hammocks, alongside an accessible roundabout, and outdoor musical instruments for kids.
The playground is currently closed as workers are putting everything in place, with a planned reopening in the spring. Other areas, like the Tower Café, remain open to the public.
