They’re redoing Dalehead Garage in Hawes. The garage forecourt will get a big makeover soon.

A new island will exist with new fuel pumps. Each pump will offer both petrol and diesel. You’ll also find a new pay-at-pump system.

The Upper Dales Community Partnership provided funds. Daleshead Community Ltd shareholders also helped, making the investment possible.

The garage will shut down for the work. It closes on March 10th and reopens March 21st, 2025. This includes fuel, jet wash, air, and the kiosk.

You can find fuel at Bridge Garage in Bainbridge. Aldersons in Woodhall is another option for gas.

The project improves the community asset. It will also improve traffic flow there, ensuring long-term garage viability.

Garage profits go back into the community. These profits support services like the library, post office, and bus. The Market Hall and book shop also get funds, as do home care and patient transport.

They will try to finish the work quickly. That should lessen the closing’s impact.

Dales Head Community Ltd appreciates support. They thank the garage shareholders, as they have a community-owned garage because of them.

They look forward to the upgrades, as the garage should function well for the long term.
