Wave of Nostalgia a finalist for a regional bookshop award after a successful year of events and community engagement.

Diane Park owns the shop. She said the past year was awesome. They were surprised to be finalists. This year had the most entries ever. She thanked everyone for their help.
Their events are a big reason for success. Last year, they had ninety events. These included author talks and book signings. They also held charity events. This year’s events will be better.
March starts with a book group for LGBTQ+ people. They will meet March 1 at 11:30 AM. They plan Haworth Pride at the meeting.
World Book Day is March 6. The shop gives away books to schools, donating 3,000 books. That evening, Stacey Halls speaks at 7 PM, talking about her new book.
Jess Kidd’s new crime novel launches March 12. The event starts at 7 PM at the shop.
Brontë experts will gather March 20 to celebrate Charlotte Brontë’s birthday. Experts will talk about her life. The event is at 6:30 PM in the church.
The shop focuses on the environment this year. Two initiatives begin next month. They will set up free climate libraries.
The climate library event is March 26 at 2 PM at the parish church. Diane also leads mending workshops on March 18 and March 22, teaching people to fix clothes.
Nydia Hetherington visits March 27 at 7 PM. She will read from and sign copies of her new book.
