Resident slams Barnet Council for overlooking a hazardous stretch of pavement on Station Road after repairs.

Andrew Crick lives in a Station Road apartment. He doesn’t get why they skipped 40 meters. This part is right outside his building. The council started fixing the road last year. It is more than half a mile long.
Andrew noticed the area outside his place wasn’t fixed just after Christmas. He thought they would do it last. He says that the path is cracked badly. Andrew thinks an accident could easily happen.
The council said they only fixed the worst parts. They inspected Station Road last year. Only certain areas needed repair.
Andrew thinks his section was actually the worst. He said it is very narrow. People sometimes walk in the road to pass each other. The fixed part is now wider and smoother.
Andrew says they fixed the wrong part. It’s in front of less nice buildings. About 20 to 30 people live in his building, and Andrew felt like they were ignored. He and his neighbors shared feedback, but his part didn’t get the improvements.
Andrew thinks there might be a reason for this, but still does not understand it. He asked the council, but got no answers.
The council said they are spending £97 million to fix roads and paths. They prioritize all work they do, and not all parts of a road get fixed.
Station Road gets checked every three months, with the next check scheduled for March. They will fix any parts that are really bad.
